Year 2 pupils from Kingfisher class set out to raise £500 for the children’s hospital Great Ormond Street, but have instead raised an incredible £6,309.

The children in Kingfisher class were gathered together by Zoe who wanted to raise money for the children’s hospital. The class all joined in and decided to cycle a hundred laps of Hylands Park in Hornchurch to raise as much money as they could.

On Friday 14 April, the class gathered at the park and despite the damp and dreary weather, the children took on the cycle challenge and did a hundred laps of the Hornchurch park.

This was a fantastic effort from the Year 2 children who were proudly supported by their parents and teachers on the day.

If you are after a good news story, this is defintley one to put a smile on your face!

Well done to Zoe and all her friends from Kingfisher class for raising an amazing £6k for such an important charity.
