Upminster Residents Angry At Large Pot Hole Labelled A ‘Crater’ That Does Not Meet Council Repair Criteria.
A pothole on Gaynes Park Road in Upminster has been labelled a ‘crater’ by locals who live near it. The pothole is outside a nursery and not far from where a lollipop lady works during school times.
Residents were so fed up with the large hole that they reported it to the council in the hope that it would be repaired.
However, instead they received the following reply:
‘Thank you for raising the Highways Defects enquiry. We have now closed this enquiry-the defect that you raised has been inspected and at present does not meet the repair criteria, it will be monitored on routine inspections.’
Despite being labelled a crater by Upminster Residents, It appears the crater does not meet the repair criteria.
We are awaiting a response from the council.
