Bereaved mum and anti knife campaigner Sue Hedges from the Ricky Hayden Memorial, has donated a bleed kit to the New City College Redbridge campus.

Sue, has dedicated her life to battling the horrors of knife crime after losing her son Ricky Hayden in 2016 and now donates as many of these vital life saving Daniel Baird bleed bags across as many different venues as she can.

This week, Sue attended the New City College Redbridge Campus to hand over a bag to Duane Smith from the college.

It was Sue’s bleed kit that was actually used to save a pupil’s life in Ardleigh Green after being stabbed several weeks ago. These bleed kits have been proven to be life saving tools, vital for the community.

Sue told the Havering Daily:”I was very pleased to be able to hand over another Daniel Baird bleed kit on behalf of the Ricky Hayden Memorial. Thank you to New City College Redbridge for accepting another kit and for their support.

“Sadly we can see just how vital these bleed kits are in our society and how they really are life saving tools.”
