Yesterday, Tuesday 28 March, a special event was held at the Sycamore Trust Hub in the Liberty shopping centre in Romford. As we prepare for Autism Awareness month in April, the Sycamore Trust who do incredible work across Havering and Barking and Dagenham, launched their ‘All Age Autism Strategy’.

The strategy is aimed to help people of all ages and provide them with much needed support. It will allow younger people to receive the support they need from an early age and keep the support as they are growing up, which is vital.

Members of the community from all walks of life including NHS workers and local councillors joined the event yesterday in Romford.

Councillor Darren Wise from the Harold Wood ward gave a speech introducing the new strategy and voiced his support of the incredible work the charity do across the east London communities. He was joined by fellow councillors Brian Eagling and Martin Goode and Romford based councillor David Taylor.
