‘We All Depend Upon A Police Service We Can Trust’-Jon Cruddas MP

Jon Cruddas the Dagenham and Rainham MP has today shared his views on the Casey Report.

“We all depend upon a Police service we can trust and have confidence in. The Casey report highlights serious systemic problems which must be tackled root and branch. The job now is for the Metropolitan Police service to rebuild that trust so that all Londoners can have confidence. That will mean taking firm action against perpetrators – dismissing them from the service and making sure they face charges and instituting training at all levels to bring about culture change.

The new Commissioner who was recently appointed, has said he is committed to improve the service and Dame Louise Casey has confidence in him.”
