BREAKING:Teenager Arrested After Found With A Samurai Sword In Trouser Leg.

A 16 year old male has been arrested on South Street in Romford after being found with a Samurai sword down his trouser leg. Just after 2pm today, Romford Town Centre officers on foot patrol stopped the male in Romford. He attempted to make off from officers, but was detained. He was subsequently arrested for obstructing police and possession of a large Samurai sword concealed in his trouser leg.

He was taken into police custody where a further search found 13 snap bags of cannabis. He was then also arrested for possession with intent to supply class B drugs.

Inspector Zed Asghar said: “This is an excellent example of how proactive, front foot policing helps keep local residents in Romford safe. With our partners,we are committed to clamping down on those who choose to carry weapons on our streets, endangering other people as well as themselves.If you have any information about any criminality in your area, please contact police so we can deal with it.”
