Thousands attended the anti ULEZ protest in London on Saturday 18 March. The regular protests have been gaining more and more support as many from the outer London boroughs attend to voice their anger at what they are calling ‘a tax on the poor’.

Residents across Havering attended with their banners and joined the walk from Trafalgar Square to Parliament Square.

Many have openly shared their worries that this tax will then lead to the ‘Pay Per Mile’ scheme, a further charge on motorists,

One protester told the Havering Daily: “This is as we all know a tax on the poor. Once the cameras have been installed we then fear that they will be used in the Pay Per Mile scheme. This is nothing to do with clean air but a money making scheme.

“We all want clean air ,but not only have we not been listened to, but we have not been given a way to go forward.”
