Havering Police Successful Violence Against Women And Girls Outreach Event In Romford.
Havering Police’s dedication to tackling violence against women and girls has seen a 12% reduction across Romford and Ilford Town Centre. Yesterday, officers were joined by British Transport police officers outside Romford station where they had a stall handing out leaflets and chatting to members of the public on any issues they may have.
PC Joshua Dodd who is the borough’s dedicated officer tackling violence against women and girls was present engaging with the community to reassure them that the police are working hard to clamp down on this important issue.
Havering Council’s Jane Eastaff who is very active across the borough was also at the event to add her support to officers.
Officers were present most of the evening as a visible presence to support women in the community and give them advice.
