Despite backlash from outer London boroughs complaining about the expansion of the Ultra Low Emission Zone, cameras began being installed in December last year.

The ULEZ expansion is due to start in August this year, but has faced heavy criticism from most of the outer London boroughs five of which have combined forces to launch a judicial review.

Havering has not signed the section 28 agreement that allows TfL to install cameras across the borough, however, 36 cameras have already been installed.

Many residents here have objected to this scheme, not because they do not want clean air, but because they have not been given a way forward that will not impact their livelihood. Residents face losing jobs, closing businesses, struggling to get to work due to the transport in certain areas of the borough.

Protests have been taking place across London each month with thousands gathering together to voice their objections.

Please see the table below that shows the number of cameras installed across the different boroughs.
