‘Brittons play area is in a woeful condition’-Margaret Mullane.
Labour Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Dagenham and Rainham Margaret Mullane has been battling to get Brittons playing field repaired and replaced after being left in a run down and vandalised condition.
Margaret has followed up her call to Havering Council to repair the play area and told the Havering Daily:
“I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read the Council’s response to our request for this play area for local children to get a much needed uplift. The Council said the Parks service ‘ inspected the location and does not agree Brittons play area is in a woeful condition nor that vandalism and neglect have rendered the area completely unusable for children’s play.
“The photos tell the truth. If the Council honestly believes that’s OK, then I am afraid they really do need to think about their standards. I have written today to Havering Council’s Chief Executive to ask that they think again so that local young children can have a safe play space.”
