Rainham ward Councillor Sue Ospreay -with help from her amazing community has fund raised to buy ten bleed bags to hand out across the Rainham area. The popular councillor met with bereaved parent Julie Taylor from the Liam Taylor Legacy last year, when they donated a Danial Baird bleed bag to Tesco in Rainham and since then made it her mission to hand out as many of these life saving bleed kits as possible to her community.

On Friday 10 February, Councillor Ospreay received the ten bleed bags from Julie, supported by a variety of members from the Rainham community including fellow Rainham councillor Jackie McArdle, the Reverend Elise, a representative from Sharps Skips and colleagues from Rainham Tesco.

The Daniel Baird bleed kits are vital life saving tools that are London Ambulance Approved.

The ten kits will placed across key areas in Rainham including Rainham Allotments and the Harris Academy.

Great community work as always by our Rainham councillors and well done to Rainham residents!
