Labour PPC calls on Havering Council to clean up Cherry Tree car park.
Margaret Mullane, Labour’s Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Dagenham and Rainham, is calling on Havering Council to clear and clean the car park at the Cherry Tree, South Hornchurch.
Local businesses and residents had contacted Margaret to report the littered car park and reported that it had not been swept and cleared for a long time.
Margaret told the Havering Daily: “ I have contacted Havering Council and called for the car park to be cleared. Local small businesses rely on the availability of this car park for their trade and were without access to it for many months whilst the area was used as a Covid testing centre.
“We need to do all we can to support local businesses especially at this time when so many are struggling with sky high energy bills and their other costs escalating. It’s also vital that local residents can take pride in their area and so keeping public areas like this clean and tidy really matters.”
