Bereaved mum and anti knife crime campaigner Sue Hedges from Hornchurch, is carrying on her mission to hand out as many life saving bleed kits as she possibly can. Last week, Sue donated a Daniel Baird bleed kit from the Ricky Hayden Memorial to the Jo Richardson School in Dagenham.

The Daniel Baird bleed kits are London Ambulance approved and vital life saving tools for any form of catastrophic bleeding.

Sue donated the kit to Student Services Manager Lyn O Keefe, who thanked her for the donation.

Since losing her son Ricky to knife crime in 2016, Sue and her daughter April Hayden have really dedicated their lives to stopping knife crime and doing what they can to save lives.

Sue told the Havering Daily: “Thank you to the Jo Richardson School for accepting the Daniel Baird bleed kit on behalf of the Ricky Hayden Memorial. We hope that this bleed kit will never have to be used, but if it does, it will save a life.”

Well done to Sue for her endless dedicated to stopping knife crime. It is people like Sue that make big impacts on our community.
