Proactive work by Romford Town Centre police officers sees suspect arrested on suspicion of GBH following fight with 17 year old boy.
Well done to Romford Town Centre police officers who have been actively clamping down on violence across the town centre.
In the early hours of Sunday morning (5 February), officers on patrol became aware of a fight on South Street.
A 17 year old male had been assaulted and was taken to hospital with a head injury where his condition was assessed as non life threatening.
A man was identified as the suspect in the fight and fled the scene. He was chased by officers on foot and detained nearby on Gloucester Road.
The 21 year old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and taken into custody where he remains.
