Since losing her son in 2016 to knife crime Sue Hedges and her daughter April Hayden have made it their mission to to do everything they can to stop knife crime, including handing out life saving bleed kits.

Last week, Sue donated a Daniel Baird bleed kit to the Bull pub in Romford.

Romford has been a key hot spot for knife crime lately and Sue has made it her mission to donate as many of these vital life saving bleed kits from the Ricky Hayden Memorial.

The Daniel Baird bleed kits are London Ambulance Service approved and stop any form of catastrophic bleeding.

Sue told the Havering Daily: “Romford has had a lot of knife crime incidents lately. I am eager to donate as many of these bleed kits to venues right across the capital in the hope that they will never need to be used.

“I donate them in the name of my son Ricky who lost his life to knife crime and hope that no other family will have to go through what myself and my family go through everyday.”

The landlady at the Bull pub Tina Donno, was very pleased to accept the bleed kit and hopes that it will never have to be used.
