VIDEO: Fantastic new initiative- East Area police and Dagenham Boxing Club join forces to tackle violence against women and girls.

East Area police’s ongoing determination to tackle violence against women and girls has seen a new initiative launched in partnership with Dagenham Boxing Club.

Detective Inspector Umer Iqbal is working with England Boxing Coach Dan O’ Sullivan who has run the very successful boxing club for many years.

Over 30 women have signed up to regular classes of non contact boxing.

The Havering Daily visited the boxing club yesterday, (Tuesday 31 January) and saw just how popular these classes are and the great work going on there.
