‘Out with the blue and in with the brew’-come and have a cuppa and a chat at Romford station.
For Brew Monday 2023, Romford Samaritans will be joined by the boys and girls in blue from the Transport Police to say ‘out with the blue and in with the brew’ as they invite people to have a cuppa and a catch up.
On 16 January 2023, Samaritans, British Transport Police, Rail Pastors and Elizabeth Line staff will once again be reminding people to take time for a cuppa and a chat.
You will find the team in the ticket hall in Romford Station between 12:15 and 15:15. Don’t be afraid. Stop for a chat!
Brew Monday is a Samaritans’ takeover of ‘Blue Monday’ – the third Monday in January, which is often dubbed ‘the most difficult day of the year’ however there’s currently no scientific evidence to back this up.
Samaritans know there’s no such thing as ‘Blue Monday’ and that feeling low isn’t just reserved for Mondays or a random day in January. So we’re saying out with the blue and in with the brew!
