Teenager stabbed in the leg outside Barking train station-officers swift action sees suspect arrested within minutes.

A teenager was stabbed in the leg yesterday, Wednesday January 11 outside of Barking train station.

Barking Town Centre police officers were at the scene within minutes and gave chase to another teenager believed to be involved in the inicident.

The teenager was arrested and the discarded weapon was recovered by officers.

Fortunately the injuries suffered are not believed to be life threatening.

The investigation continues.
