Upminster had its first Daniel Baird bleed bag donated yesterday by the Ricky Hayden Memorial. Sue Hedges, mother of murdered Ricky, donated the bleed bag to the local pub yesterday Tuesday, December 20.

Staff Hannah Lewis and Aiden Millham were pleased to receive the bag and thanked Sue for providing the pub with this vital life saving tool.

Anti knife crime campaigners Sue and April from the Ricky Hayden Memorial have spent nearly a year donating as many bleed bags and units across London and Essex in the hope that they may save a life.

Sue told the Havering Daily: “Sadly they are vital life saving tools for our communities. Knife crime is still spiralling out of control as those who should be addressing it are not and everything is left to the police and anti knife crime campaingers.

“We will keep donating as many of these bleed bags and units as we can across our communities in the hope that they may save a life.”
