Reach New Heights at Romford Rock & Boulder

Romford Rock & Boulder is an indoor climbing centre that offers a great selection of up to 90 routes for all abilities and ages. You will test your strength, technique, mindset, and problem-solving abilities while having loads of fun in a very friendly setting.

No ropes are needed as walls go to a maximum height of 4.5m and the centre has BSS safety mats that help keep you safe at this height. So you are essentially free climbing and everyone can go to the limits they feel comfortable with.

All new members are offered a free induction which shows you the basics. For those who are interested, they run bi-weekly Basic Bouldering Classes which focus on technique improvement and skill. They also have a kids club run every Wednesday during term periods. Age restrictions apply, all climbers must be over 8, and minors must have adult supervision (details are held on the website).

They have a great café selling delicious coffees, snacks, and their infamous brownies where you can just chill or spectate, or even do work if you are someone who works remotely now. New routes are put up every 2 weeks and they host occasional competitions which are always fun and exciting with prizes for winners. They are great for birthday parties, team building, and more.

Mon & Fri – Midday to 9PM

Tues/Weds/Thurs – Midday to 10PM

Saturday – 10AM to 6PM

Sunday – 10AM to 4PM
