Anti knife crime crusading mum donates bleed kit to New City College.
On Friday December 9, Sue Hedges the anti knife crime campaigner donated a Daniel Baird bleed kit to New City College’s Ardleigh Green campus. Sue lost her son Ricky Hayden to knife crime in 2016 and has since set up the Ricky Hayden Memorial to help donate as many life saving bleed kits and units across the community as she can.
On Friday Sue handed over the Daniel Baird bleed kit, that is London Ambulance approved to I an Budge the Deputy Principle. Operations Manager Lesley Cole said: “Thank you for donating the bleed kit. This is a worthy cause and will be accessible to all users here at the college.”
Scott a pupil at the college said: “I believe this is vital equipment needed to keep our communities safe.”
Anti knife crime fighting mum Sue told the Havering Daily: “Thank you to New City College and Ian for accepting this bleed kit. These are vital life saving tools that sadly are very much needed in our community.
“Myself and other anti knife crime campaigning mums are doing everything we can to save young people’s lives.”
