13 year old charged after being found carrying a large knife.

Police were called to a fight in Romford last week where a 13 year old boy attempted to run off from officers from the East Area Violence Suppression Unit. Officers gave chase and the youth was detained. He was found in possession of a large knife.

He has now been charged with possession of a pointed or bladed article in a public place.

Well done to our officers for removing another dangerous weapon and saving a life.
