On Wednesday November 30, members of the Ricky Hayden Memorial installed the first Daniel Baird Bleed unit at Dagenham Heathway. Sue Hedges and April Hayden installed the unit on behalf of their murdered son and brother Ricky, who lost his life in 2016 to knife crime. The pair now travel across London and Essex to donate as many bleed kits and bleed boxes as they can to help save lives.

These boxes contain life saving tools and are London Ambulance approved. They will help against any form of catastrophic bleeding, from gun shot wounds or knife wounds, to road traffic accidents.

Sue told the Havering Daily: “It has taken us over two months to get this box installed here on Dagenham Heathway. Thank you to Nicola Papworth and Amber from AmberH Pageants for their support. Thank you to Sarah Sandy and all the local residents in the area who have given us so much support and encouragement on the day.

“Sadly knife crime is not going away but actually getting worse and we need tools such as these to help save lives.”

Sarah Sandy, April Hayden, Sue Hedges and Amber.

Think you guys should’ve done your home work. Two violent criminals who go around threatening and intimidating people playing the martyrs. 😂
