Sleeping Beauty at the Queen’s-a panto full of fun, laughter and festive spirit.
This season’s pantomime is a must watch highly rated a five star performance, fit for any West End stage.
It’s our favourite time of the year, Panto time! Oh no it isn’t! Oh yes it is! If you want a couple of hours of fun, laughter, complete family entertainment, then the Queen’s Theatre’s Sleeping Beauty is guaranteed to achieve just that.
We all love a good pantomime to cheer us up on a cold gloomy winter’s day, and Sleeping Beauty will not only provide that, but everything you want in a pantomime such as a much loved fairy, our prince to the rescue. a wicked witch and of course our dame in a dress!
The Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch provides communities with pantomimes every year and this one, is right up there, a real Christmas cracker that fills everyone with a much needed festive cheer!
Sleeping Beauty is traditional pantomime that does comes with an enjoyable twist that will keep you riveted, have you jumping out of your seat and even looking over your shoulder shouting ‘it’s behind you!’
Written by Andrew Pollard, with original music and lyrics by Tom Self, the cast is comprised of just eight actor/musicians who managed to fill the stage and create a magnetic atmosphere that takes over the audience and literally leaves them covered with Christmas sparkle.
Dame Super Nanny, brilliantly played by Dominic Gee-Burch succeeds in getting the audience on his team and WOW-ing them with eye catching costumes.

King ‘Enry the H’eigth of ‘Ornchurch is our very own panto version of a used car salesman played perfectly by Alex Tomkins who brings the east end to panto.

Fairy Falalalala and the Wicked Witch Vampira Vanity engage in much enjoyable banter that allows the audience to get engaged including singing songs and of course traditional boo-ing. Laura Sillet (Fairy Falalalala) with her wonderfully over accentuated English, battles with Hannah Woodward (Vampira Vanity) who is evil personified.

Of course stealing the show Princess Raury ( Anna Fordham) and Romford Prince (Jerome Lincoln) our loved birds from different classes of society, who battle the odds to be together, but of course love triumphs all!
The Queen’s Theatre has delivered once again a five star show worthy of the highest accolades. We are very lucky to have this theatre here in the midst of our community providing us with spectaular entrtainment.
