Trees for Havering announce first 3 tree-planting events
After last season’s success, Trees for Havering is returning and is bigger than ever. Residents, families, community groups and Councillors from across Havering, all came together to plant thousands of new trees in Havering.
Now that the new tree-planting season has begun and we are looking for volunteers to help us plant new trees at the Hornchurch Country Park Covid Memorial. Unfortunately, after last summer’s hot temperatures, many of the trees that were planted by the council have died.
There is the capacity for 3000 new trees to be planted, so we need all the help we can get. Please join us and bring your friends and family too. Tree planting is a great way of giving back to the community and is also great for your well-being.
Please bring your own spade if you have one and ensure you wear suitable footwear and dress for the weather too.
