Sainsbury apologises for their cold and dark Hornchurch store.
Customers shopping at Sainsbury’s on Billet Lane in Hornchurch last week, were confronted with a dark store and a cold one that actually caused one shopper to abandon her shopping trip as the store was that cold!
Locals complained of the shop being dark inside, very cold and the entrance being dirty, wet and slippery.
One shopper told the Havering Daily:
“It was really cold to the point that it was actually not nice being in there. It was also dark and the entrance was wet as you came in and could have been dangerous for the elderly who shop there.
“This store is used by all of us locally, but lately it hasn’t been as good as it was. It’s sad to see it like this.”
In response, a Sainsbury’s spokesperson told the Havering Daily:”We recently experienced some minor faults with our shopfloor heating and lighting systems in our Hornchurch supermarket. The problems have now been resolved and we would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused while the systems were repaired.”
