Court hears how son brutally stabbed mother and sister before leaving family home.

Nicolas Aina from Dagenham was charged with murder on Tuesday November 1, after allegedly stabbing his mother. Aina of Auriel Avenue, appeared in court on Thursday charged with the murder of Caroline Adeyelu, aged 64. He has also been charged with the attempted murder of his sister at the Dagenham address.

Aina appeared at the Old Bailey on Thursday via a video link where the court heard that he is believed to have attacked the two women at their family home on October 30. It was heard how he allegedly entered his sister Angel Adeyelu’s room first and repeatedly stabbed her with a knife. Upon hearing her daughter’s screams, mother Caroline also entered the room, where Aina then viciously began stabbing her with a knife and then leaving the property.

Police attended the address at 9.35pm after reports of a stabbing where they found Caroline Adeyelu who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Sister Angel, was taken to hospital after suffering stab injuries, her condition was treated as non life threatening.

Aina has been remanded in custody.
