To celebrate Diwali and the anniversary of 775 years of Romford market, special festivities took place on Saturday 21 October. Havering Changing and Romford BID joined forces to put on a fantastic show that included, Bollywood dancers, Indian face art, amazing home made food by members of HASWA (Havering Asian Social and Welfare Association) and glass blowing artisits.

Saturday afternoon in Romford market saw crowds come to watch the show and enjoy in the day’s entertainment. Crowds watched three glass blowing artists make special glass disks for every market stall holder to mark the market’s 775 anniversary. They also had the opportunity to see Indian drumming, Bollywood dancers, and enjoy some incredible Indian face art.

Well done to Havering Changing, Romford BID and Manjeet and her incredible team of volunteers from HASWA, who are incredible community champions.
