Celebrate Diwali Lord Rama’s return- in Romford this weekend.
Diwali is a very special time for many in our communities. It marks the return of Lord Rama to his kingdom in Ayodhya after being in exile for fourteen years. It is known as the festival of lights as Lord Rama’s Faithful servant Hanumanji lit the path with lights to mark Lord Rama’s return.
To celebrate this very important occasion, Havering Changing alongside Havering Asian Social and Welfare Association (HASWA) are pleased to welcome back this event to Romford. With lots of magnificent entertainment from Bollywood dancers, Dhol players, crafts workshops, music and food, this is truly a celebration of community, culture and light.
Check out this amazingly colourful event coming to Romford Market on Saturday 22nd October. Things are kicking off from 12pm with many family activities like diya painting, rangoli workshop, Bollywood dance, dhol players and great music!
