East London man arrested at airport charged with fourteen terrorism offences.

A man has been charged with terrorism offences, following an investigation by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command.

Ismail Kissa, 23 (01.04.99), of east London, was charged on Thursday, 22 September with 13 counts of dissemination of a terrorist publication (contrary to Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006); and one count of possessing a document containing information likely to be useful for terrorism (contrary to Section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000).

Kissa was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on the afternoon of Thursday, 22 September.

Kissa was arrested by counter terrorism officers at Stansted Airport on 29 March 2022.

The investigation is related to Islamist terrorism.
