The Havering Interfaith Forum (HIFF) organised a special event on Wednesday 14 September, a dedication to HM The Queen. Tributes were made from six different Faith speakers. Everyone present wore black to pay their respect and mark the mourning period.

Sidra Naeem (Secretary of HIFF) who is also Deputy Lieutenant in Essex, told the Havering Daily: “It was important to recognise Her Majesty’s seven decades of dedicated service to Britain and the Commonwealth, and the wisdom and grace with which she exercised it. She promoted good relations between members of all Faiths and her spirit helped to make Britain a more tolerant country.”

Tariq Mahmood (Vice Chair of HIFF) said:”The late Queen Elizabeth II dedication to public service will be remembered by the historians and into the future generations.”
