Made the wrong choice? It’s not too late to join New City College
If you are aged 16 to 18 and are unhappy at the college or sixth form you have just started, do not panic! New City College is holding a Transfer Day on Wednesday 21st September, from 12 pm to 6 pm, where you can easily move courses and start again.
Just go along to the Ardleigh Green campus in Ardleigh Green Road, Hornchurch; the Construction & Engineering campus in New Road, Rainham, or Havering Sixth Form campus in Wingletye Lane, Hornchurch, to find out what courses are still available.
NCC has one of the largest range of A Levels and vocational courses in Essex and East London and has been singled out for five Mayor of London Quality Marks – in Creative, Digital, Hospitality, Construction and Health & Social Care. These accolades are only awarded to colleges delivering high-quality courses that are key to London’s economic recovery.

The college has forged special partnerships with local and national businesses that offer work placements and work experience for students, often leading to apprenticeships and career opportunities.
In the last few weeks, three students from the Construction & Engineering Centre have been offered Site Manager and Quantity Surveying Apprenticeships at East London company Breyer Group, having completed highly successful work placements with them this year.
Other students from Havering Sixth Form have gone on to Russell Group universities as well as Business Degree Apprenticeships at KPMG and EY (Ernst & Young) in Canary Wharf, and some from the Ardleigh Green campus have been offered scholarships to study in the USA!
The strong links that New City College has built with local communities and employers means the curriculum is robust and relevant to the modern world, ensuring students reach their full potential and are work-ready when they leave.
