Two 16 year olds and a male arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary in Rainham reported to be armed with a firearm.
Rainham residents yesterday reported seeing three males armed with a firearm near Rainham Road.
The incident took place just before 9pm as police quickly attended and were seen on Cherry Tree Lane.
A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:
“Police were called at 20:50hrs to reports of a burglary taking place at a residential address in Rainham Road, Rainham.
Shortly after, police received a call reporting three males armed with a firearm in a nearby street.
Police attended. Three males, one aged 23 [A] and two aged 16 [B] and [C], were arrested at Cherry Tree Lane on suspicion of attempted burglary. They were taken to an east London police station where they remain at this time.
A firearm was not recovered.
Enquiries continue.”
