Mardyke Community centre members enjoy annual coach trip to Southend-on-sea
On Thursday the 18th of August, local residents and members of the Mardyke Community Centre attended the annual coach trip to Southend-on-sea hosted by the Mardyke Youth and Community Association in Beam Park ward, Rainham.
Locals enjoyed a great day out, eating Fish and Chips on the beach and enjoying a few drinks in the hot sun.
M.Y.C.A manager Lesley Blowers who organised the trip told the Havering Daily,
“It was a great day and all had a very good time, especially as the weather was hot as well. The trip was made better by the Coach driver and his manager who came along and made the actual coach journey real fun.’
‘The driver had everyone on the coach laughing and joining in his jokes. The two members from “Osprey Coaches” who we hired the coach from were really friendly and made this a great day out.’
‘The manager gave us a discount as we were a charity but also waived any parking charges which normally we would have to pay. I have been running these trips for many years now and must say this was the most enjoyable coach trip I have organised.”
