Male arrested after brandishing a hammer during a fight in Romford.

A 41 year old male has been given a six month custodial sentence after discarding a hammer following a fight on Park Lane.

On Monday August 8th Havering Joint Task Force officers responded immediately to calls of a fight between Park Lane and Brentwood Road. The team were on scene within a minute and detained a male who had discarded a hammer upon their arrival.

He was arrested for possessing an offensive weapon, charged and remanded in custody.

On Tuesday August 9 the male received a six month custodial sentence at Barkingside Magistrates court.
