Firefighters tackle another Rainham grass fire.

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a grass fire near Rainham Road in Havering yesterday afternoon.

Firefighters tackled a fire which destroyed a large area of grassland and a smaller area of grassland nearby. 

The Brigade was called at 14:47 and the fire was under control by 15:41. Fire crews from Dagenham, Romford, Harold Hill and other surrounding fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire will be investigated.
