Man charged with attempted murder following Hornchurch stabbing.
A man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident at a pub in Hornchurch.
Following a stabbing on Saturday evening at a Hornchurch pub, a 29 year old man was yesterday charged with attempted murder.
Phillip Kemps, 29 (25.07.93), of Redbridge, was charged on Tuesday, 26 July and appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court later the same day.
He was remanded in custody and will appear next on Monday, 22 August at a court to be determined.
The charge relates to an incident that took place in a pub on the High Street, Hornchurch, at around midnight on Saturday, 23 July.
A 23-year-old man was taken to an east London hospital with stab wounds that were assessed as non-life threatening.
We are aware that a video of the incident has been shared on social media.
