Beam Park councillor writes to Transport Minister in plea to resolve station stagnation.
Councillor Matthew Stanton Beam Park Councillor today writes in the Havering Daily.
I have written to the Minister for Transport, the Mayor of London, and the managing director of c2c, to urge them to proceed with all speed towards resolving the delays around Beam Park Station.
The information that I have been given is that a series of meetings are set to take place over the next 9 to 12 months before the station is actually confirmed.
While I understand that this is a complicated process which deserves its due attention and diligence, I would like to urge all parties to proceed with alacrity, as the delay with the station is having a knock-on effect on delivering new homes as well as employment opportunities.
I would like to see all parties endeavour to see this process through as quickly as possible for the benefit of residents, and for all parties to communicate jointly and publicly, insofar as they are able to, so that residents and all interested parties are kept fully informed.
