With temperatures hitting the high 20s over the weekend Harrow Lodge park was definitely the place to be. Havering Tribute Fest was held on Saturday and the Family Fest was held on Sunday and both were extremely successful.

Thousands packed out the park to enjoy the music, the fantastic activities available and bask in the sunshine.

Saturday saw tribute acts to Michael Jackson, Kylie Minogue, Little Mix and of course the ever popular Abba. Hosted by Mark Dover from Time Fm, crowds came with their chairs and parasols to sit and enjoy some fantastic music.

Sunday’s Family Fest had many stalls for family and friends to enjoy from Classic Cars to a visit to Jurassic Park. The Romford Drum and Trumpet Corps Band were out performing to the large crowds that sat and watched. Fantastic music was provided by Bedrock Radio, the local hospital radio. And of course a special visit by Havering’s very own Elvis, the amazing Chris Vegas who truly has a stunning voice.

A huge well done to Ciaran White from Havering Mind who organises these fantastic events across the year and staff and volunteers at Havering Mind who worked under sweltering conditions throughout the two days.

Great work also by security company JFF Security who did a great job keeping thousands safe both Saturday and Sunday.
