Well done to Team 4 from Havering’s Violent Suppression Unit who removed a large machete off the streets of Havering on Monday July 4.

Officers were out in the borough when they came across a male acting suspiciously. They approached the male who immediately ran off. The known male was detained and searched where officers found him in possession of cannabis.

The male was known to police officers who weren’t satisfied that this was the only offence and requested the assistance of a police dog whilst keeping the area sterile. Thanks to the help of a police dog, a large machete was recovered from a bush.

Great work by our officers and police dog once again!
