Man arrested after threatening people with a hammer in Upminster.
Well done to police officers in Upminster including a an off duty officer who were quick to arrest a male who had been threatening people with a hammer harassing them for money.
The incident happened yesterday, Sunday 3 of July on Upminster High Street when shoppers had reported a male who had been threatening people with a hammer if they did not give him money.
Upminster Safer Neighbourhood officer PC Ed Zoltan was off duty yesterday but in the area and gave chase to the suspect and was able to detain him with the help of a member of the public.
Great work by our officers!
