Man in his 50s taken to hospital after being found with head injuries in Hornchurch.
A 52 year old man was found on Harrow Drive suffering from head injuries on Saturday evening. The incident happened at 9:12pm and the man was subsequently taken to hospital by ambulance and police are waiting for an update on his condition.
A 42 year old man was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remains in police custody.
A spokesperson for the Met told the Havering Daily:
“21:12hrs on Saturday, 2 July police were called to Harrow Drive, Hornchurch following reports of an assault.
Officers attended and found a 52-year-old man with head injuries. He was taken by police officers to an east London hospital. We await an update on his condition.
Shortly after 01:00hrs on Sunday, 3 July officers arrested a 42-year-old man at an address in Hornchurch on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He remains in custody.
An investigation is ongoing.”
