Whybridge Junior School’s fantastic Jubilee Day.
Well done to staff and pupils at Whybridge Junior School in South Hornchurch who on the 27th May, held a special ‘Jubilee day’ for staff and students.
Children came into school dressed in red, white and blue and to mark the platinum jubilee also learnt about the monarchy and completed some Union Jack crafts. During their break time, children were able to have a disco outside. After a special jubilee lunch of fish and chips, the children had their jubilee party.
The party consisted of two halves, traditional games and sports on the field and an ice pole and a street party on the playground, with HRH the Queen as a special guest. During their street party, the children waved their Union Jack flags, wore party hats and enjoyed a snack bag, filled with a special ‘Whybridge kit kat’, crisps and a cake. At the end of the day the children were given a commemorative Jubilee medal to take home.
Well done to everyone involved!
