Julia Lopez MP visits Harold Wood Primary school after pupil wins second place in card for the Queen competition.
Well done to Ismail in Year 3 at Harold Wood Primary School who came second in a colouring competition launched by Upminster and Hornchurch MP Julia Lopez to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Mrs Lopez attended the school last Friday 20 May to congratulate Ismail on his art work.
Headteacher Alison Dowding told the Havering Daily:”We are delighted to kick off our Jubilee celebrations by announcing that one of our pupils in Year three has been visited by Julia Lopez, MP for Upminster Hornchurch as he came second in a ‘card for the Queen’ competition.
“As we know this year the Queen becomes the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee and the card designed will be part of celebrations to commemorate this historical milestone and to thank Her Majesty for her dedication and service to the people of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth.
“We are very proud of Ismail as he has been invited to tea with Julia in the Houses of Parliament.”
