Police pursuit of stolen motorbike driving dangerously in Hornchurch ends in arrest.
A pursuit took place yesterday Monday May 2 after a motorbike on Rainham Road failed to stop for police. As police reached Hornchurch Road, tactical contact was made and the driver was subsequently arrested for suspicion of theft and dangerous driving.
A spokesperson for the Met told the Havering Daily:
“At around 09:30hrs on Monday, 2 May, police on the Rainham Road requested a motorbike to stop
The motorbike failed to do so and a pursuit was authorised.
The motorbike was stopped following tactical contact on Hornchurch Road.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle and dangerous driving. He was taken to hospital as a precaution where his injuries were assessed as not life changing or life threatening.”
