The Havering Daily is running a list of the different candidates across Havering in preparation for the local elections on May 5.

Today we meet Dr Antonia Osammor, a Labour candidate for Rainham and Wennington.

I moved to the area with my family six years ago and work locally as a GP. Public health is an area I am particularly interested in. It is no secret that Public health services across Rainham and Wennington have been diminishing for years, and I am passionate about restoring and improving access to good quality services.

Over the years I have been active in the community and currently volunteer  at a toddler and children’s group . I donate to the local food bank and am part of an eco-group in Havering working to reduce waste and improve recycling rates. I want local families, especially our children to feel proud of our community but for that to happen residents need a voice on the issues that matter to them. People in Rainham and Wennington have been without a strong informed voice in the Town Hall and it’s time for change.
