Havering residents are invited to join a host of free celebrations to mark St George’s Day in the borough.

The event, which takes place at Romford Market on Saturday 23 April between 12pm and 4pm, includes a number of free activities to keep all the family entertained.

The Royal British Legion Band and Corps of Drums Romford will be ‘suited and booted’ and providing a live performance from 12.30pm.

It will also be difficult to miss the themed stilt walker this year who will be towering over the market stalls.

Younger visitors can enjoy free face painting and catching up with their famous mascot characters for a photo.

No booking is required so residents and visitors can just turn up on the day to join the celebrations.
