Appeal to help trace man following Romford rape.

Detectives investigating an allegation of rape in Romford are appealing for help to identify a man they would like to speak to.

On Sunday, 6 March a 49-year-old woman reported that at about 02:30hrs the same day, she had been raped in Angel Way.

The suspect is described as a white man aged 25 to 30. He was not known to the victim. 

The victim is being supported by specialist officers. There have been no arrests.

Detectives have released an image of the man they wish to identify.

At the time of the offence, he is believed to have been carrying a backpack and was wearing a Moncleur jacket.
