Wednesday Afternoon Music launches at Hornchurch library.
Today, Wednesday 6 of April sees the start of ‘Wednesday Afternoon Music at Hornchurch library’. Pre Covid, this had been the ‘Evening Music Programme on Wednesday’ and is now restarting during an afternoon time.
Founder of the music programmes George Saddington told the Havering Daily: “We are restarting to see how many people are interested and feel that an afternoon time will better suit our audience. Our presenters will be saying hello and playing some of their favourite music, but the important purpose of the afternoon is to discover whether there is sufficient long-term support to continue with the series. The intention is to complete if possible the abandoned fortnightly 2020 programme until the summer break at the end of May and then review the situation.”
Havering Libraries Music club features recorded music chosen from regular presenters that include classical, light jazz plus music from film and stage.
