Operation Massac sees 19 arrests, 47 stop and searches and 8 community resolutions.

Well done to East Area police officers who took part in Operation Massac across the three east area boroughs throughout December and January.

Led by Inspector Mangham,Emergency Response officers undertook a series of proactive police deployments across Havering, Barking and Dagenham and Redbridge. Using intelligence gained, officers were deployed across hotspot locations that had been identified for street crime. These officers were given extra deployment on top of their ordinary shift and achieved amazing results.

19 arrests – including arrests for weapons and drugs.

47 stop and searches.

8 community resolutions for drugs.

The officers showed a high level of commitment and dedication in targeting crime hotspots across East Area to keep our community safe.

Great work by our officers once again and the deployments will continue.
